Scrubs Burning Party
Since we are officially done with nursing school we had a scrubs burning party with some people from nursing school at Lisa's house. It was so much fun and best of all we are DONE with school! Can we say FINALLY! To celebrate the fact that we never have to wear that smurf blue scrub outfit again we held a burning party. It quite the fiesta, we had food, and family, and fun. It felt liberating to burn those scrubs. I am just going to miss those people, they became a big part of my life while we were in school. Here are some pictures of those awful colored scrubs burning!!!!
Keep on reading after this post I updated a few times!
Some of the group, not everybody could come to the party! We had lots of fun though! Wish everybody luck with the Boards! We will be great nurses!
Me burning my scrubs! They burned better than I thought that they would!
Hands down the best picture ever!
Jami's little boy was the first to throw in, he did a mighty fine job!
Riley and Me before burning the scrubs, we got to play badminton, and I showed off my mad skills on the trampoline, it was so much fun to just hang out and not think about having to go back to school ever again! YAHOO!!!!!!!!!
First day of school!
Riley's first day of school was on Aug. 22. He wasn't to thrilled to be going back after his summer working but hey somebody has to be making the money when we get older. He is taking alot of classes for his major, taking lots of PE classes. Shouldn't be to hard of a semester for him, just lots of busy work. It was also his birthday this past week, he had to go to school and work, so afterward we went to dinner and had some fun. We went golfing for it as well. Riley shot his best score in golf yet. He got binoculars from me for his birthday and he plans on getting some waders from both our parents. So I think it was a pretty good birthday for him. Well for him it is back to the grind of school work during the day and working in the afternoon. He will do great this semester.
This is Riley on his first day of school! So excited!
St. George
This summer we went down with my family to St. George to spend a couple days down there, we went to Tuacahn, and saw The Little Mermaid, which was so much fun, I loved it, it was done so good. The next day the boys went golfing and the girls went to Vegas, it was my first time there, I didn't really want to gamble so I hung out with Shelby and Abbee, who aren't 21 yet, and we walked the strip, talk about an eye opening experience, but it was fun all the same. Then me and Riley went and visited Aunt Elaina and her family, love that little Kabitu, she is so freaking cute. On Sunday we came home and did family pictures with my family. Here are some pictures of the weekend. Thanks mom and dad for taking us, we loved it.

View from the Top
Yesterday, a miracle happened, I had the day off of work. That doesn't happen very much especially on a Saturday with both me and Riley off so we decided to do something fun. We went four-wheeling up to the top of Ben Lomand, it's called inspiration point. It was so much fun and the perfect day to do it, it was overcast so not to hot at all. Once we got to the top we went over to the other peak, it was so fun to see everything up top. When we were up there their was a few people up there but not to much, Riley sees these guys walking up the trail we just walked up from, well it is a small world, turns out one of the guys was from Riley's home town, what are the odds of running into someone on the top of the mountain from over 700 miles away. I am beginning to believe my mother in law when she says Southern Alberta is the center of the universe. Then last night we spent some time with Shane and Haulee, it was so much fun and we laughed like we haven't laughed in a long time, so much fun. Well here are some fun pictures we took of our little adventure. Enjoy!
Me and Riley going to the other peak, so much fun, and it felt so good up there with the wind blowing on you, and looking at Willard Bay below.
This is one of the view's from the top, this looks over Ogden City. Lots of houses down there.
So cool to see this from up there, I highly recommend this trail for anyone. It is an easy ride and doesn't take very long at all. Only like two hours or so it is 13 miles to the top.
This is the other part of the city, you can see I-15 down there and the Great Salt Lake in the distance. Pretty sweet looking!
This is the other part of the view, it overlooks Willard Bay and the Great Salt Lake. Lots of water out there this year.
Another picture of me and Riley, this is at the basin, about half way up the backside. It was so green up there still for being the end of July, it was so pretty, and there was still some snow but not to much of that either. I highly recommend this ride for everybody. So much fun, but be aware you get DIRTY! If there is alot of people on the road it can get pretty dusty but totally worth the view!

Life!
A little catch up on life, sorry I haven't updated in awhile. A lot has happened in the past little bit for starters, I am still in school, not so much fun, I am having breakdowns about weekly now, it my last semester and getting ready for boards is not even fun at all. In fact I just took a practice test, pretty sure I failed it. It does help me to know what my weaknesses are though. New exciting news, WE MOVED! We moved to a townhome and I just love it, it is so cute. I will take pictures once we get done decorating.
Riley is still having to go out to the lake all the time for work, he is getting a nice farmers tan, it makes me laugh really hard. It looks like he is wearing a shirt still when he takes it off. So funny!
We had a fun 4th of July, we spent that day in Farr West. Here is some of those pictures.
Well wish me luck! I am about to enter a not very fun time of finals, exit test, and boards.

Greatest Family Ever
Riley and I feel so blessed to belong to the family's that we have, they are just the most incredible people ever, and are all such great examples to us. And we don't tell them this enough but we love all of them so much!

My parents, Troy and Jodi, are such fabulous people, they have been married for 29 years, they are such a great example of how to be married. They have 5 kids, 1 daughter in law, and 2, soon to be 3, son in laws. They are grandparents to 5 grandkids, and they support every single member of their family and friends. They really care of about every single one of us and love to have family get togethers. There is always somebody at their house. They taught me to love the outdoors and to respect nature and enjoy it at the same time. They love to have fun with the family.
Riley's parents, Brad and Shannon, they are really, I couldn't have asked for better in-laws, they raised Riley to be the best guy in the whole world. They have been married for 28 years. They have 4 kids, 1 son in law, and 2 daughter in laws, with 2 grandboys, and another grandson on the way. They really support all of us and show excitement in all the accomplishments that comes to members of the family. They LOVE to have so much fun, which I love so much. The motto that I think goes right along with this family is Work Hard, Play Harder, because that is what it is all about, and I love every minute of it.

Katie and Jesse, they are engaged, they are so sweet to each other. I am so thrilled that they are getting married. Katie is a preschool teacher, and she has so much patience for little kids, I admire that so much in her, it is not something that I have. She is the sweetest person and will always try and help if she can, she loves her niece and nephews and they know it. Jesse works at Cal Ranch, and he loves to play with the niece and nephews as well. He is so good in the family and fits right in.

Shelby, she is an amazing hairdresser, and she is the comedian in the family. If you ever need a laugh just ask Shelby, she has so many crazy stories that you wouldn't even believe she gets herself into. She has so much ambition and goes after what she wants. I so admire that about her.
Jake and Mikalyn, they are missing one child in this picture but this is the one that I could get, so they have two kids now, and they have the two cutest kids ever. Myles and Tenlee. Jake is in the air force and has been deployed twice, Mikalyn is just so brave and I admire that so much about her, I certainly look up to her for that. They are both such great parents to those cute little ones.
Jordan and Mandee, they have the newest addition to the Sabey family, Sawyer, and can I just tell you have much I love him. I knew Jordan before he was my brother in law, he served in Utah and actually knew my family, so it was wonderful when Mandee married him. They are both such great examples, they both graduated recently and have their teaching degrees, a profession that I admire but could never do, and they are fantastic parents, being around them for once second you would see how much they love Sawyer and love every part of taking care of him. Dahlin and Biz, they have the funnest little boy, Syler, he is so smart, he makes you laugh when he is up their and loves his new cousin Sawyer. He also gets a baby brother this year is so excited. He is so good with Sawyer and I know he will be a fabulous big brother. Biz is probably the strongest woman I know. She is incredible. I look up to her so much and admire her. She is amazing! She is a respiratory therapist. Dahlin is an accountant, and he is such a great dad, he really enjoys being around his family, he really takes care of his family.
That is our families, and we are so blessed to have such a great family around to look up to and have fun with. Sorry this post is so long, but I just felt like I should show my appreciate for all the family in our lives, and tell them that I love them all.
