Warning: Redneck Alert!!!

This last Saturday for the 24th since we weren't able to go to Canada for Magrath Day's we went to a truck pull. It was so much FUN! But can we say it was a little redneck as you can see, but it was just so much fun to watch, and they had the coolest trucks there. I so want to drive one of the Ford's that was there. They were amazing! The only downside to the whole thing was it was so freaking HOT!!! That and by the end the fumes were getting to us a little bit. But it was so much fun and I am so glad that we got to go! Enjoy a small portion of the pictures! My husband took it upon himself to take a picture of every single truck that came up to the drag line. Ha ha but it was fun. Enjoy!

2nd Anniversary

On Monday Riley and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary, I had to work on Sunday and had clinicals on Tuesday so we only had one day to celebrate, we went up to Park City for the day and got to do some shopping and sight seeing it was so much fun. That morning Riley woke up and made us breakfast it was so sweet, then we got ready and headed out, we got to shop at the outlet mall and then go into old Park City for lunch. It was so much fun, we walked around and went into a really cool Cowboy store with the coolest boots I have ever seen, probably cost more than my life but they were really cool to look at, also that store had the biggest buffalo head, it was so awesome, it was huge. Then we went to the Olympic Park and watched some aerial skiers practice jumping into a swimming pool, it was pretty sweet to watch and Riley added one more thing to his bucket list. We started going home and in Morgan we had to stop at the Browning store, Riley bought another t-shirt to wear. We had such a fabulous day, here are some pictures!

Summer, where are you?

I just have to vent for a moment about my lack of summer and the killer of Nursing School. I had no idea what I got myself in for when I signed up for this. Let me say something, I have never gone to school in the summer before, I enjoy my warmth and fun way to much to have ever tortured myself with school, with that said can I just say that this semester is so flipping stressful and time consuming. I just want my summer! And on my day off of school and work guess who gets to work on homework, oh that would be ME!!!!! Yah I love it!!! I didn't have to work at all this weekend so I thought I would be a good girl and do my homework so that today I could just enjoy my day off of school and work, kinda have a day to myself. I was looking forward to it. Oh I was just kidding myself, I have a care plan due tomorrow and after 8 total hours of working on it this weekend, guess who just barely finished this afternoon. It was awful. I don't even get a break after finishing that evil care plan, I get to study for another one of my lovely tests that I have this week. (I have three this week). It is freaking fantastic!!! I knew that it wouldn't be very easy when I signed up for this, and I feel very lucky that I am in the program and working hard toward achieving this goal of mine to be a nurse, and I know that in the future it will be very beneficial to our family but guess what I am living in the present and it kinda BITES!!! Thanks for listening to me vent! Gotta get back to studying! Yahoo for me!!

4th of July

Well this 4th of July it was so super fun we loved it, we spent the day with the Jensen family. This holiday is my favorite holiday, why because I love the parade, fireworks, summer (warm weather) you get to spend the whole day outside, eat bbq. It is just such an amazing holiday and you get to show your patriotism. In Farr West, we celebrated it on Monday, July 5th cuz it fell on a Sunday. We started off by being in Shane and Haulee's Quiznos float for the parade, it was so fun we had our nephews in it with us, Gabe and Justin got to shoot water guns, and Briggy was with me throwing candy out. Haulee also had her little cousin Baylor in it, we had some pretty dang cute kids in this float. We then went to the park and got to walk around and watch the kid races and see what people were selling. This year Shelby (my little sister) made a bunch of very cute bracelets, and headbands, and some hair bling, she had some peacock feathers, and ostrich feathers. SO CUTE!!! We went back to my parents house and bbq'd and played water games. We played water baseball. SO much fun. Riley was a baby and didn't participate but I did and it was so fantasticlly fun. Then Riley went golfing with the boys in the family, I got to play with Briggy more. We then went to Julie's house and celebrate Scott's birthday. Then we went to the park and watched the fireworks. It was such and amazing day!! Here are some pictures of the day!!!

Good Gravy

So I have finally did it!!! What you may be wondering, well, ever since I have met Riley's family they make the most delicious gravy and I finally made it correctly. It has taken me almost two years to accomplish this and alot of eating some very gross gravy that I have made, it was either to thin, to watery, and this last attempt tasted like flour. I have watched Riley's grandma, and mom make this gravy multiple times, I finally figured out the secret of making in correctly, and no I won't tell what it is, but I am just so excited that I finally made it, and it just tasted delicious!

Strawberry 2010

Well this past weekend over the long weekend as a tradition my family always goes fishing and this year was no exception. So we got to Strawberry Dam and go fishing and camping. This is pictures of our family, it was so much fun and Riley caught his first Utah fish, and then caught more after that. He doesn't have alot of patience for bobber fishing though he prefers to jig. We got to stay in a tent and we got some sun so we came back a little red in the face. It was also kinda cold but it felt good cuz it will be hot later on, but we had so much fun and I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Canada Visit

So this past week we went to Canada cause I had a week break from school and can I tell you that we had so much fun. As you can see these are some of the activities we did while we were up there. The first Saturday we were up there we went to the cabin and burned down the two old campers up at the cabin, it was pretty cool to watch but it did smell pretty bad. I also got to have the really good gravy that the Sabey's make (it is so delicious) and I hope I can make it right, now. I kept messing up before. We also got to ride horses a little bit and do alot of farm work it was pretty fun just cuz I haven't really seen that before and I got to experience it first hand. We had to move the bull over to the other farm, and I got to go to a cattle auction, that was pretty intense looking at the cows before hand and then go sit in the room and watch them come in and bid of them, I found it really fun and very interesting, I guess I am turning into a country girl. We actually bought cows too, we bought 10 cow-calf pairs and then we got to haul them to the farm. That was pretty fun. Riley and his dad went to work at the cabin, so Shannon, my mother in law took me to get a pedicure. First in my life and really I liked it. We also had real Canadian Chinese food. It was delicious. So as you can see it was a pretty fun and new experience for me. We are back now and ready to get back into the real world of work and school but we had a very fun vacation.
