Hunting '11

It is that time of year again, the one that my husband waits for all year long, the hunting season. This year he participated in the muzzle loader hunt, and I got to join him the last day of it. Unfortantly we didn't get anything, so freaking upset about that but we did see about 20 does, and a moose. Just no bucks, which sucks cuz we hiked all over those freaking mountains, and I got the lovely job of bush-wacking! So much fun but it is a little cooler in the brush. Here are some pictures, lets see if you can spot the hunters! Thanks Riley for taking these pictures.

Our boots after walking up and down the mountains, isn't it just the best picture, I do believe it is.
The finsished product, it looks delish and tasted even better.

Me outside of camp, just enjoying the scenery.
We saw Justin's (one of our nephews) on a tree, so we took a picture of it for him.
The four-wheeler (Quad) all ready to go hunting again.

Spot the Hunter? It is my brother Jake looking for the deer that did not come :(
Riley likes to take scenery pictures! So enjoy the scenery, I did love all the colors up there. It was absolutely beautiful!
More Spot the Hunter! (Hint: there are two of them).
Jake and Chris (brother in law). That camo hides them pretty well.

PS: Keep reading, I updated the blog with two posts.

Graduation

Well the time finally came for me to graduate! It was fun, I enjoyed the pinning ceremony where we got our RN pin but the actual graduation was a little on the boring side, oh well. Thanks for everyone who came to see me graduate. Here is some pics from it.

The diploma cover we got that day! My actual diploma still has not yet arrived.

Some of the peeps in my class, they were so much fun! I will miss seeing them every week. We need to plan some get togethers.

My table partner, Val, she had to listen to me talk when I was done listening to the lecture. Sorry girl! Love ya lots!

Grandma and Grandpa Venable
Love them so much! Thanks for supporting me through all of this! I am so grateful to have them in my life, they have taught me so much.

Grandma Jensen
She supported me so much, by saying how proud of me she was, and kept me going through the many long hours of studying and clinicals. I am so lucky to have such great grandparents. I feel so blessed.

My parent's, Troy and Jodi Venable, they also supported me through this long process, they are so proud of the fact that I made my dream come true of being a nurse. They had to listen to me when i just couldn't take it anymore. Thanks mom and dad. Love you so much!

Two of my nephews, Justin (in black) and Gabe (in red) and my sister Shelby, I didn't get a picture with their mom and dad and another nephew but I am so grateful they came down to watch me graduate. Katie and Jesse were also there and I am so glad that they could come down as well.

My wonderful husband, I couldn't have done this without him, he had to suffer right along with me, he was such a great help to me, he jokes that he could have passed boards right along with me, and he really probably could have. I am so grateful to him. Thanks babe, I love you so much!

Getting my RN pin, this is one of my professors, Lona, she was awesome, love her. I will miss her, but I won't miss her tests. Ha ha.

I can offically say, we graduated in a barn! Yeah! I loved it!

My father in law, Brad Sabey, also came down the next day to spend some time with me and Riley, I am so happy and grateful that he came down, him and Shannon, bought me some pretty sweet shoes for graduating, I finally got Dansko's. And let me tell you, they are totally worth the price. So thanks to my wonderful in-laws. We feel so blessed to have the support that we have.

Long Time Coming

I did it! I finally passed my boards and I am officially a Registered Nurse. I am so grateful to everyone who helped me out, especially our families, and of course Riley, he had to deal with nursing school the most. He says he should get an honorary license for having to put up with the late nights, early early mornings, and having to work for free, ha ha he doesn't know the half of it. He actually could probably pass most the tests just listening to me study and talk about things out loud. I just can't believe I actually made it, this has been my dream for so many years, it is what I have always wanted to do with my life. I couldn't believe when i saw my name on the dopl website, it was very surreal and dream like (it was pretty late at night when it posted so it could have been a dream). Just to make sure I wasn't dreaming I got on this morning and there it was again! Oh so thrilled! My next step is to continue working in Float Pool at the hospital, except as a RN, and see what happens from there. I graduate tomorrow from school, and will update with that soon. YAY! I am a RN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scrubs Burning Party

Since we are officially done with nursing school we had a scrubs burning party with some people from nursing school at Lisa's house. It was so much fun and best of all we are DONE with school! Can we say FINALLY! To celebrate the fact that we never have to wear that smurf blue scrub outfit again we held a burning party. It quite the fiesta, we had food, and family, and fun. It felt liberating to burn those scrubs. I am just going to miss those people, they became a big part of my life while we were in school. Here are some pictures of those awful colored scrubs burning!!!!
Keep on reading after this post I updated a few times!

Some of the group, not everybody could come to the party! We had lots of fun though! Wish everybody luck with the Boards! We will be great nurses!

Me burning my scrubs! They burned better than I thought that they would!

Hands down the best picture ever!

Jami's little boy was the first to throw in, he did a mighty fine job!

Riley and Me before burning the scrubs, we got to play badminton, and I showed off my mad skills on the trampoline, it was so much fun to just hang out and not think about having to go back to school ever again! YAHOO!!!!!!!!!

First day of school!

Riley's first day of school was on Aug. 22. He wasn't to thrilled to be going back after his summer working but hey somebody has to be making the money when we get older. He is taking alot of classes for his major, taking lots of PE classes. Shouldn't be to hard of a semester for him, just lots of busy work. It was also his birthday this past week, he had to go to school and work, so afterward we went to dinner and had some fun. We went golfing for it as well. Riley shot his best score in golf yet. He got binoculars from me for his birthday and he plans on getting some waders from both our parents. So I think it was a pretty good birthday for him. Well for him it is back to the grind of school work during the day and working in the afternoon. He will do great this semester.

This is Riley on his first day of school! So excited!

St. George

This summer we went down with my family to St. George to spend a couple days down there, we went to Tuacahn, and saw The Little Mermaid, which was so much fun, I loved it, it was done so good. The next day the boys went golfing and the girls went to Vegas, it was my first time there, I didn't really want to gamble so I hung out with Shelby and Abbee, who aren't 21 yet, and we walked the strip, talk about an eye opening experience, but it was fun all the same. Then me and Riley went and visited Aunt Elaina and her family, love that little Kabitu, she is so freaking cute. On Sunday we came home and did family pictures with my family. Here are some pictures of the weekend. Thanks mom and dad for taking us, we loved it.

Abbee, Shelby and me in front of the M&M factory! Right after that we got caught in a down pour. So much fun!

Abbee and Me in front of a guitar statue.

Shelby and me, on top of the M&M factory, don't look down we were a long ways up. Kinda scary!

Riley and me, at Tuacahn, waiting for the show to start, they had the misters on at this point and Riley really wants some of those to help keep cool.

Shelby in front of the stage, we were goofing around til the show started at dark.
